There were at least 6 of them, watching each breath. I explained what was happening. One asked, "But how will we know when the miracle is happening?" Bewildered, I asked what he meant. "The miracle we have been praying for, that he will be getting better." I said a little prayer before opening my mouth. "He is dying without pain and without fear and surrounded by a family who loves him.
